「Atami」 Shin-ichiro Tojimbara
熱海へは三度目の旅であった。一度目は亡き父との最後の家族旅行。二度目は情人との二人旅。そして今回の撮影のための一人旅。十五年ぶりの旅行であったがいろいろな変化があった。 渚町のストリップは無くなり、銀座通りに一軒あるだけとなり、スマートボールや射的も一軒のみとなり、夜の往来もすっかり減っていた。僕は二十年程の記憶を頼りに街を徘徊し、シャッターを切った。
This was my third trip to Atami. The first time was the last family trip with mydeceased father. The second time was a trip for two with my girlfriend. And this time, I went by myself for the shoot. I hadn’t been there for 15 years and there weremany changes. The strip in Nagisa-cho had disappeared and there isonly one shop in Ginza Dori and there is only one shop for smart balls andshooting gallery and the liveliness of the nightlife has subsided dramatically. I wandered around the city with my fading memoriesfrom some 20 years ago and released my shutter.
