横須賀を撮影してみて感じたことは,どぶ板通りやオープンベースなどは国境のグレーゾーンなのである。日本人が基地に入れないように,兵隊たちがそれ以上入れない区域があり（小学校など）＜OFF LIMITS＞と書かれた看板がいたるところにある。どぶ板の突き当たりにある神社などは米兵たちがレイプしたり,マリファナを吸ったりしていた場所だから今は当然＜OFF LIMITS＞である。また,横須賀中央駅周辺は何の変哲もない地方都市であり,変わっていることといえばアメリカ人が普通に買い物をしているくらいである。

Dobuita Street and Open Base in Yokosuka are the gray zone of national border, that's the impression I got when I was shooting photos there. Just the way Japanese citizens cannot enter the base, there are areas where the soldiers are not allowed to enter (such as elementary school). There are <OFF LIMITS> signs everywhere. The shrine located at the end of Dobuita Street was the place where American soldiers raped women and smoked pot, so without a doubt, it is now <OFF LIMITS>. On the other hand, Yokosuka Chuo Station area is just another local city, nothing peculiar in character, except for the fact that American shoppers are often seen there and that's perfectly normal.
